Roles and permissions
Owner, organization administrator, institution administrator, teacher and parent are fixed roles. This is what each one can do.
On this page
Each organization membership has one role. There are no per-person switches: a role is a fixed bundle of permissions, and family links add a parent's view of specific children on top of any role.

Notes
- Teachers see and record only for the programs assigned to them.
- Parents cannot edit lesson or attendance records and never see teacher notes. They can submit absence reports for linked children and manage their own inbox read status.
- A person can hold a staff role and be a parent at the same time with one account.
- These rules are enforced by the school's database on every request, not only by what the pages show.
